This tutorial was done in PSP7, but I'm sure
it can be done in other versions. I am
also assuming you have a basic knowledge
of how to pixel paint. And I strongly
encourage you to use your own colors.

I used a 150x150 palette and renamed my
first layer "b" for background and flood
filled with white. Then I added a new raster
layer. We are going to start with the head
and trunk. I used #ACACAC for the outline.
With your magic wand, select the insides of
the ears and the little tip of the trunk.
Flood fill with #FEF4F6. Next, with your magic
wand again, select the rest of the head and trunk
and flood fill with #DEDEDE.
With #CACACA, start to shade the head and trunk.
I used black for the eyes.
Then with #F2F2F2, add some highlights.
Hope you can see them!
On to the ears and the tip of the trunk!
I started off with #F6D4DA.
I then finished it off with #FAE4E8>
Grab #ACACAC again and finish the body.
There are 2 little pixels by the trunk,
I added arrows to show you where they go.
And use #CACACA for the little pixel in between.
Flood fill with #DEDEDE. Then use #CACACA
for the shading.
Almost to the end! Grab #F2F2F2 and add
the highlights.
